2017, 8 x 8 inches, Collage on Paper

If a substance or object is transparent, you can see through it very clearly. So fine in texture that it can be seen through.

"These collages are a record of a very tortuous, lonely, and funny journey through the land of recovery in 2017 where I was in a constant state of mixed feelings about life: between Bob Marley’s “Life is good” and Aldous Huxley “Maybe this world is another planet's hell.” It is often at the most unexpected times that we turn to art to soul-search, to make a higher connection and commune with something intangibly bigger than ourselves. Sometimes this may involve disturbing expressions of darkness as well as light." Carol Santos
